My name is Haleigh Smith. I am currently in 9th grade. I am interested in taking the teaching as a profession pathway; I would like to take this class because I would like to go into teaching, preferably teaching kindergarten. I am a good listener, and problem solver. I also can multitask well. I am athletic and good at soccer. In middle school I was on the soccer team all 3 years, and served as captain my 8th grade year. Now as a freshman I have made the Varsity girls soccer team.
I am interested in going into the teaching field, hopefully a kindergarten teacher. I have always enjoyed being around young children, and I what to be apart of a child’s life. I have patients which is very important when dealing with small children, also I can solve problems and multitask. Teaching at a primary school, and anywhere where there is a school in need of teachers. They would say I am a hard worker, I do what I am suppose to, and I do the very best and put all my effort into what I do.
I have selected to show you a PowerPoint that I have done for my Honors Lit class. Our assignment was to make a facebook for a character in the book “To Kill a Mockingbird”. I selected Dill Harris for my character. We had certain requirements we had to meet when doing this project. My final grade on this was a 100. In this assignment I had to have the facebook layout. So when doing this project I learned patients, because I had to, using the shapes, in order to make the layout, which took a long time to do. I one day hope to go on to college and play for the girls soccer team where ever I end up going to. I also wish to get a job as a kindergarten teacher when I graduate from college.I have learned that it is important to know how things work in the bussness world if I ever wish to excel in it.
